Millard E. Page, 86, of 601 E. Jackson St., Coats, died Monday, Oct. 13, at WakeMed in Raleigh.
Born Jan. 9, 1922, in Harnett County, Mr. Page was a son of the late Pearcy Elmond and Bessie Bennett Page. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Page retired from Earl Ennis Grocery Store in Coats, where he was a butcher. He was a member of Angier Primitive Baptist Church.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home, 90 W. Stewart St., Coats. Elder Devon Harris will officiate. Burial will follow in Coats City Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Margaret S. Page; a daughter, Brenda Trobaugh of Wilmington; a son, Donald Page of Coats; five sisters, Geraldine Stephenson of Coats, Annie Brotzman of Garner, Sue Fincannon of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., Carolyn Elliott of Benson and Becky Ennis of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at the funeral home.
