Donald Keith “Donnie” Exum, 51, of Selma died Sunday, Oct. 19, at his home.

Born Jan. 14, 1957, in Fulton County, Ga., Mr. Exum was a son of Marie Annette Exum of Atlanta, Ga., and the late Javis Weaver Exum. He was a floor-covering installer and a member of Princeton Church of God.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at Princeton Church of God. Pastor Rod Trustt and the Rev. Raymond Mizell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Barnes-Exum family cemetery on N.C. 581 near Kenly.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Lavern Jones Exum; a daughter, Cathy Marie Exum of the home; a sister, Kathy Exum of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, Jeff Exum of Carolina Beach and Frankie Exum of Smithfield; a stepsister, Joyce Mincey of Zebulon; and a granddaughter.

The family will receive friends from 7 till 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Parrish Funeral Home, 1351 S. Pollock St., Selma.
