Born Feb. 21, 1967, in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Mrs. MacKinnon as a daughter of Florence Alberta Dugas and the late Joseph Alfred Dugas. She was the office manager for her husband, Dr. Chris MacKinnon of Benson.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at Rose & Graham Funeral Home, 301 W. Main St., Benson. The family will receive friends after the service.

Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are her daughters, Morgan Susan MacKinnon, Samantha Jean MacKinnon and Bethany Dawn MacKinnon; a son, Daniel Joseph MacKinnon; four sisters, Evelyn Hatfield, Joyce Cole, Marion Deviller and Lucy Dugas, all of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia; and two brothers, Freeman Dugas and Allan Dugas, both of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.
