Gladys Ta-Tanisha Davis, 31, of Clayton died Saturday, Dec. 21, at WakeMed in Raleigh.
Born Sept. 11, 1977, in Charleston, S.C., Ms. Davis was a daughter of Leola Brown Russell of Goldsboro and the late James E. Russell. She received her master’s degree from East Carolina University. Ms. Davis was an assistant principal at Cleveland Middle School. She attended The Lord’s Table Church.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at Howell Funeral Home, 1500 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery near Princeton.
Surviving in addition to her mother are a son, Timothy W. Davis Jr. of the home; and two sisters, LeAudrey Mozell Giordano of Tucson, Ariz., and Jamela Shanette Galloway of Raleigh.
The body may be viewed from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family is receiving friends at the home of her mother, 104 S. Becton Lane, Goldsboro.
