Robert Andrew “Bob” Bassett, 32, of Selma died Monday, June 2.

Born Sept. 28, 1975, in Landstuhl, Germany, Mr. Bassett was a computer programmer and a member of Cary Masonic Lodge No. 198.

The funeral with Masonic rites will be at 6 p.m. Friday, June 6, at Parrish Funeral Home, 1351 S. Pollock St., Selma. The family will receive friends after the service.

Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Diane and Mike Weidner of Selma; his father and stepmother, Bill and Connie Bassett of Montgomery, Ala.; a sister, Tiffany Bassett of Selma; his maternal grandparents, Mary and Alfice Bissette of Kenly; his paternal grandmother, Genevieve Bassett of Phoenix, Ariz.; a stepbrother, Michael Weidner of Wilson’s Mills; and three stepsisters, Julie Weidner of Boone, Wendy Neuschafer of Smithfield and Pamela Wheeler of Clayton.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College St., Oxford, N.C. 27565
