A Johnston County 4-H'er was part of the N.C. 4-H Performing Arts Troupe, a group of young people ages 12-19 who performed recently at the State 4-H Congress in Raleigh. The troupe presented "We are 4-H: The Musical," a play depicting 100 years of 4-H in North Carolina.
Anne Patterson, 18, is the daughter of Allen and Joyce Patterson of Wendell.
An audience of more than 900 attended the premiere performance of "We are 4-H: The Musical" at Johnston Community College in Smithfield.
Sara-Ann Montgomery Pate of Clayton has received the Silver Award, Girl Scouting's highest honor. She is the daughter of Dennis and Felicia Pate of Clayton. For her Silver Award project, Pate taught youngsters in her community how to care for pet rabbits. She is a sophomore at Clayton High School and a member of Girl Scout Troop 364.
Robert Young Alexander of Clayton has passed the state exam for certified public accountants.
