BUNN - -- Thirty-six first-half points helped carry Bunn to a convincing 48-21 Northern Carolina 2-A Conference victory over North Johnston Friday night.

Both teams piled up the rushing yards with the Wildcats rushing for 330 on the night and North countering with 278 of its own.

The Panthers' Jacques Alston ran for 215 yards and a touchdown (an 80-yarder), while Laquan Cox added 62 yards and a pair of rushing touchdowns.

Four of the Wildcats' touchdowns followed North Johnston turnovers. The Panthers lost three fumbles on the night and threw one interception.

Bunn moved to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference, while North fell to 3-4 overall and 1-1.

Scottie Harrison had 166 yards on 10 carries to lead the Wildcats' attack.

The Panthers have an off week this weekend, then meet Louisburg on Oct. 16.
