South, West, SSS win on Thursday night
The quartet of Thursday night specials were good to the Trojans, Wildcats and Spartans.
North Johnston's Glenwood Watson (36) tries to stop West Johnston's Mallie Umphrey (21) on his touchdown run in the first quarter. The Wildcats beat the Panthers 49-14.

The Comets rushed for 429 yards — 327 from Anthony Hinton — but South Johnston scored on drives of one, two, three and four plays and never trailed after the second quarter.

West Johnston 49, North Johnston 14
